If your brand operates in the men’s fashion, apparel, or accessories space and you are planning to exhibit at the Chicago Collective 2026, this is the most complete and practical guide you will find before the show. We have put together everything you need — the exact schedule, setup rules, shipping deadlines, freight details, what comes included with your booth space, what you need to order separately, and most importantly, how to make sure your exhibit presence is doing real business for your brand when buyers walk the floor at theMART in Chicago.
At Interior Today LLC, we design and build exhibit booths and showroom displays for brands at trade shows and wholesale events across the United States. The Chicago Collective is one of the most respected and relationship-driven trade events in the men’s fashion industry, and we understand exactly what it takes to present your brand with the level of polish and professionalism that buyers at this show expect.
Whether you are a returning exhibitor refreshing your look or a first-time participant trying to make a strong first impression, this guide — and Interior Today`1 — will help you show up ready.
What Is the Chicago Collective 2026?
The Chicago Collective is the premier trade show for men’s apparel and accessories in the United States, held at theMART in Chicago — one of the most iconic and storied trade and design buildings in the world. The show brings together the best independent and established menswear brands across every category, giving specialty retailers and buyers from across the country a focused, curated environment to discover new brands, place orders, and strengthen supplier relationships.
The Chicago Collective has built its reputation on quality over quantity. This is not a sprawling mega-convention. It is a carefully organized, professionally run wholesale event where the buyers who attend are serious, the brands that exhibit are committed, and the conversations that happen on the floor translate directly into real business.
For menswear brands looking to grow their wholesale distribution, build relationships with independent retailers, or expand their presence in the specialty retail channel, the Chicago Collective is one of the most valuable events on the annual calendar.
Chicago Collective 2026 Dates and Location
Chicago Collective 2026 will take place from August 1 to August 4, 2026, at theMART, located at 222 Merchandise Mart Plaza, Chicago, Illinois 60654.
TheMART is a landmark Chicago building and one of the largest buildings in the world by floor space. It is home to permanent showrooms, trade events, and design destinations that draw buyers and industry professionals year-round. Exhibiting at theMART places your brand in one of the most prestigious trade environments in the country.
The show operates across the 4th and 7th floors of theMART, and understanding which floor your booth is located on is important for your logistics, your team’s planning, and your buyers’ navigation.

Shipping and Freight — What Every Chicago Collective Exhibitor Needs to Know
Getting your merchandise, display materials, and booth elements to theMART safely and on time requires careful attention to the show’s shipping guidelines. Here is what you need to know.
The shipping window for FedEx, UPS, and small package services opens on Monday, July 27th and closes Friday, July 31st. Do not ship before July 27th — early arrivals will be charged a $74.80 per 100 lbs storage fee.
All freight must adhere to size limits of no larger than 5 feet wide by 10 feet long by 5 feet 8 inches high and must weigh less than 2,000 pounds per piece. Freight that exceeds these measurements will incur additional handling fees.
When shipping, consolidate everything — booth materials, merchandise, literature — into one shipment wherever possible. Label every package clearly with the show name, your company name, and your booth number. Remove all old labels from boxes and crates.
Each booth is allotted up to 7,500 lbs of drayage at no additional charge. Drayage over that amount is charged at $74.80 per 100 lbs.
Airways Freight Systems is the preferred freight forwarder for the Chicago Collective for both domestic and international shipments. However, you are free to use your own carrier. Just be aware that UPS and FedEx deliveries to theMART during high-shipping periods can be inconsistent and delayed — even priority shipments. Plan accordingly and do not leave your freight arrival to chance by shipping at the last moment.
The direct shipping address for theMART loading dock is:

What Comes Included With Your Chicago Collective Booth Space
Understanding exactly what your booth space includes prevents surprises on setup day and helps you plan what you need to bring or order additionally. Here is what every exhibitor receives as part of their standard exhibit space.
Every booth comes with hard white walls, grey carpet, a 120-volt 150-watt duplex electrical outlet, four LED spotlights, a 1×4 foot ceiling light fixture, one wastebasket, one chair, and a booth identification sign with your company name and booth number. For larger spaces, multiple signs will be placed to help attendees navigate.
All booths will be vacuumed prior to the show at no charge. If you need additional cleaning during the show, additional housekeeping can be ordered through the BOOMER portal.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available on the 7th floor.
What is NOT included and must be ordered or arranged separately includes any additional furniture beyond the standard chair, AV equipment and screens, custom flooring, additional lighting beyond the standard package, and any custom construction, painting, or branding elements. All of these can be ordered through the BOOMER portal or arranged through the appropriate vendors.
Important Labor and Installation Rules at theMART
The Chicago Collective is held at theMART, which operates under specific union labor rules that every exhibitor needs to understand before setup day.
If you can set up your booth display alone in under 30 minutes without any tools and your space is 100 square feet or smaller (10×10), you may do it yourself. The moment power tools, step stools, or ladders are involved — or your space is larger than 10×10 — union labor is required.
All flooring installation and systems furniture requires union labor — specifically union Carpenters. All painting, wallpaper, decal adhesives, and vinyl installation must be done by in-house union Painters. All electrical installations including chandeliers, light fixtures, light boxes, and TV screens must be done by in-house union Electricians.
Exhibitors may hand-carry small items by hand, but handcarts, flatbeds, and dolls are prohibited for exhibitors to use. On-site Material Handling labor is available to facilitate those moves.
If you are using an outside installation contractor — known as an Exhibitor Appointed Contractor or EAC — they must complete the EAC form in advance, carry valid public liability and property damage insurance of at least $2,000,000, and comply fully with all theMART and show regulations. Interior Today LLC is an experienced EAC that fully understands and complies with theMART’s union and contractor requirements, and we handle all the necessary paperwork and compliance as part of our service.

Turn right onto Orleans, proceed three blocks, turn right onto Hubbard, proceed one block, turn left onto Kingsbury, continue one block, turn left onto Kinzie, and continue one block to the stop sign where you turn right into the dock.
For cars and small trucks heading to the loading dock, take I-90/94, exit on Ohio Street, turn right onto Franklin at the second light, continue four blocks south to Kinzie, turn right onto Kinzie, and at the first stop sign turn left into the dock.

Why Your Booth Design Defines Your Results at the Chicago Collective
Here is something that every experienced menswear brand exhibitor at the Chicago Collective knows — and that first-time exhibitors often discover the hard way: the buyers who walk this show are experienced retail professionals with highly developed taste. They are specialty retailers, boutique owners, and buyers for independent stores who spend their entire working lives evaluating how brands present themselves and what that presentation says about the quality, character, and commercial viability of a line.
These buyers are making decisions in seconds as they walk the show floor. Your booth is not just a place to hang merchandise — it is the physical embodiment of your brand story. The way your space looks, how it is lit, how the products are displayed, and how easy it is to navigate tells buyers everything about how your brand thinks about presentation, quality, and the retail experience.
A booth that looks assembled rather than designed tells buyers your brand may not be ready for prime-time retail. A booth that is thoughtfully designed, well-lit, cleanly merchandised, and visually consistent with your brand identity tells buyers you understand the retail world they live in — and that you are a brand worth their time and their open-to-buy.
With theMART’s hard white walls, grey carpet, and standard LED lighting included in every space, the brands that stand out at the Chicago Collective are the ones that add custom elements — upgraded lighting, custom flooring, branded wall graphics, distinctive fixtures, and a merchandising approach that creates a genuine brand environment rather than just a booth.

How Interior Today LLC Helps Chicago Collective Exhibitors Stand Out
At Interior Today LLC, we work with fashion and lifestyle brands at wholesale trade events and understand exactly what makes a booth effective in a buying environment like the Chicago Collective. This is a different context than a technology trade show or a food industry expo — buyers here are shopping for brand identity and retail readiness as much as they are evaluating individual products.
Here is exactly how we support Chicago Collective exhibitors.
We begin with a brand consultation where we learn about your line, your retail positioning, your target buyer profile, and what you want people to feel when they approach your space. For menswear brands, this conversation often involves understanding the character of the line — whether that is refined and tailored, casual and lifestyle-driven, bold and fashion-forward, or something entirely its own — and building a booth environment that is a genuine expression of that character.
We develop a custom booth design tailored to your specific space within theMART, whether you are on the 4th floor or the 7th floor. We work within theMART’s standard white wall system and enhance it with the elements that make the biggest difference — custom lighting plans, flooring upgrades, branded wall graphics, custom fixtures, and a merchandising layout that guides buyers naturally through your collection.
We handle all graphic design and production for every printed element in your space — brand graphics, signage, display panels, and any other branded surfaces. Everything is designed to work at the scale and lighting conditions of theMART’s show floors.
As an Exhibitor Appointed Contractor approved to work at theMART, we manage the entire installation process in full compliance with theMART’s union labor requirements. We handle all the necessary forms, coordinate with the BOOMER portal for service orders, and ensure your booth is completely installed and show-ready well before the 11:00 AM deadline on Saturday, August 1st.
After the show closes on August 4th, our team returns to manage dismantlement during the designated windows so your team can leave Chicago focused on following up with buyers and processing orders rather than dealing with logistics.
Practical Tips for Getting the Best Results at Chicago Collective 2026
Great booth design is the foundation. Here are the additional things that will separate a good show from a great one for your brand.
Order all booth services through the BOOMER portal before the July 3rd discounted rate deadline. Every day after that deadline costs you more money for the same services.
Ship your freight to arrive between July 27th and July 31st. Shipping before July 27th triggers storage fees. Shipping after July 31st means your goods may not make it to your booth in time.
Plan your merchandising layout before you arrive. Know which pieces are leading the collection, how you want buyers to flow through the space, and where your hero products will be positioned for maximum visibility.
Have your line sheets, lookbooks, and order forms ready and organized before the show opens. Buyers at the Chicago Collective move quickly and make decisions fast — having your materials immediately accessible makes every conversation more productive.
Staff your booth at all times during show hours. The Chicago Collective’s security cannot be relied upon to watch your merchandise. Your team’s presence protects your goods and ensures every buyer who stops at your booth gets a personal interaction.
Follow up within 48 hours of the show closing. The buyers who visited your booth will be processing a lot of information from a busy few days. A prompt, personalized follow-up while your brand is still fresh in their mind is how leads convert into orders.
